Garage Sale Finds In My Garden

This past Saturday I had the privilege of going to garage sales, but not just any garage sale…if you read my earlier posts, you know that I went to a Funky Junk garage sale and met Donna!

Well, I promised you that I would show you what I all found at her neighborhood garage sale and the other one that we went to as well, so instead of showing you a pile of junk new found treasures, I thought I would do a two for one.  I have placed all the garage sale items in my garden to show you how spring is coming along in my part of the world.  I am so excited to see blooms and blossoms and I just want to share some spring love with you, so without further ado…

a sea foam green teapot…with ornamental crabapple blossoms

I moved it beside the lemons for a different brighter look…

then added the free turquoise doilie for yet another colorful look…

this next item isn’t exactly from a garage sale, but it is from going ‘pickin’ at my brother-in-law’s farm (Thanks Gord!)…an awesome tobacco tin, perfect for putting pens in.

And from Donna’s place I got this concrete pedestal (I actually got two of them!)

and her easel…

THE tray that works perfectly ‘as is’ on my dining room table…hello lovely!

this gorgeous frame that will be painted white to go in oldest daughter’s bedroom to showcase one of her memorable photos from Italy (it’s a perfect match!)…

and this frame which will also be painted white and the picture removed and replaced with chicken wire so we can display photos and necklaces on it with clothespins!

and this frame which we will do the same thing with…

And then from her neighbors I got these fun painted cabinet doors that I think I will use in my craft room.

and this solid wood picture frame will be used for a different picture and it might even get painted and distressed…we’ll see…

and there were two of these hanging basket containers

but I won’t be using them as hanging basket containers…oh no…they will get repurposed as something else…and here is a clue…they will be turned upside down and painted a different color…

and then there was an orange zester, that won’t be used as an orange zester either…

and just because we love industrial chic…and because I also got this while pickin’ in my brother-in-law’s barn for free (Thanks again Gord!)…everything is “hinging” on this one (insert groan)…couldn’t resist…

You’ll just have to wait and see what I end up doing with these garage sale finds.  They all have a destination in our home, but being the phlegmatic that I am…well, I can’t promise you anything anytime super soon.

But stay tuned, I still have to introduce you to a very special person that I met when I got lost in Abbotsford this past weekend (I told you it was a crazy jam packed weekend!)

Hope you enjoyed seeing some of my blossoms and blooms and I hope you have lots of spring joy in your neck of the world!

  12. Hello! I know this is kinda off topic however , I’d figured
I’d ask. Would you be interested in exchanging links or maybe
guest authoring a blog post or vice-versa? My site covers a lot
of the same topics as yours and I think we could greatly benefit from each other.
