Ok, so I feel totally reprimanded, ahem, by my fellow ocean soul. I haven’t been blogging much these days, (bad me) I think I have been procrastinating a little, and doing a lot. We are off to Cancun on Saturday, and I have had a ton to do in preparation. Two weeks is a long time to be away from the kid, and the dog, and the cat… you know how it goes. Plus, when you go somewhere warm it’s important to do the usual preening and primping since you won’t be wearing a lot. I feel like I have a handle on things now, and my to do list is manageable. I am being diligent in packing light, and because I am a type A individual (strange since I am a middle child) I am constantly packing and re-packing. It really is a science you know… I am so looking forward to leaving this snow and cold behind for a little while. Oh, and to sink my toes in the sand and wear nothing but flip-flops for two weeks!!
First up, Playa Del Carmen. I look forward to being in the Mayan Riviera, in the older city, and to the ruins. We return to Cancun the second week, to the place we stayed in last year, which I know is outstanding. I pray that the bits of rain will hold off for us like last year, and that we will have good weather. I also wish I could take you all with me… it would be so fun to have a blogger conference there for all Ocean Souls, don’t you think? For now, until I post from Mexico (I promise I will) cheers! XXOO Jukavo (you can call me Julio, or Juan)
“Just as the wave cannot exist for itself, but is ever a part of the heaving surface of the ocean, so must I never live my life for itself, but always in the experience which is going on around me.”
–Albert Schweitzer
“At the beach, life is different. Time doesn’t move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides and follow the sun.”

Ohh, that sounds so nice to spend some hours on a warm beach! Your quotes are lovely…I’d love to live by the currents, plan by the tides, and follow the sun; at least for awhile.
Enjoy your absorption of Vitamin D!!
Wishing you a wonderful trip!
My dearest Juan Valdez, as much as we love the gray, cold ocean in the first pic, we understand the importance of visiting the other ocean in the second pic…the warm, crystal blue, white sandy beach ocean…the one where waiters come down to your chaise lounge and ask if you would like another margarita! yes, it is important to go to that ocean! LOL. Have a blast! I can hardly wait to see what adventures you get into!
The first photo was taken by my lovely daughter Jessica five years ago on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, and I just love it… as for the other photo… an internet pic of Playa del Carmen, which I will be seeing in 24 hours… whoot! Carpe Diem my friend, as always, your Juan Valdez
Oh that sounds good right about now! Enjoy!
Have a wonderful time away, a very pleasant change from winter and snow. Time to unwind and reconnect with yourself and your dreams.
Have a wonderful time and have a margarita for me, too!
