Hi, I am ‘Ocean Soul’, Karen, a girl who finds enough love and inspiration at the ocean to survive living in a desert, many, many, miles away from the ocean! I share my ‘Ocean Cottage in the Desert’ (OCD) with a hot computer geek and three individually unique, character developing, ocean-loving kids.  I cannot stress enough how much I luuuuuuuuv the ocean and its creator who breathes life into my soul, hence the name of this site.  I have gained countless insights and been blessed beyond measure through the ocean and my visits there. This site is a place where I want to share my ‘ocean soul’ moments and insights with anyone who needs some inspiration or encouragement or something to make them smile. As Christopher McCandless wrote, “happiness only real when shared”.

And then there is my ocean soul sister, Julia (a.k.a. Jukavo), who lives in a prairie with her wonderful family, and shares the same love of the ocean and our creator!  We have been going to the same ocean for over twenty years, with our families, but more recently, just the two of us, for a time of renewal and solace and eye-opening, soul reviving inspiration, which started this blog! Jukavo is a poet, artist, photographer, designer, free-spirit, life-living, soul renewing, ocean loving, on a journey of a lifetime, wild woman!
